TRUMENBA® (Serogroup B Meningococcal "MenB") Vaccine
- Indicated for individuals 10 through 25 years of age
- CDC recommends that a MenB vaccine may be given to individuals 16 through 23 years of age; however, preferred age for MenB vaccination is 16 through 18 years old
- Even if your child/patient has been vaccinated for meningococcal disease (MCV4), he/she may not be vaccinated against MenB
- TRUMENBA was used in mass vaccination efforts against MenB outbreaks at Providence College and the University of Oregon in 2015
- Several universities in Indiana are now requiring that first-year students receive two doses of a MenB vaccine (see Pfizer's letter outlining the MenB vaccination requirements for certain universities in Indiana)

- Indicated for females 9 through 26 years of age; indicated in males 9 through 26 years of age

MENACTRA® (Meningococcal (Groups A,C,Y and W-135) Polysaccharide Diphtheria Toxoid Conjugate) Vaccine
- Indicated for individuals 9 months through 55 years of age
- Per the CDC, all 11 to 12 year olds should be vaccinated with a meningococcal conjugate vaccine, with a booster dose given at 16 years old
- Menactra vaccine does not prevent N meningitidis serogroup B disease
